Undergraduate Research
Hands-on experience is the hallmark of your education at Mizzou, so prepare to be immersed in real-life learning opportunities. Teach 4-year-olds how to read. Report a newsworthy story. Make guests feel at home in a bed and breakfast. We provide opportunities for you to apply your college knowledge to real life.
You might also do research as an undergraduate. Undergraduate researchers develop their own questions, devise their own methods for finding answers and discover new knowledge based on their results. As early as your freshman year, you’ll conduct research in science labs, field sites, libraries, art studios, campus museums, archives and across the globe.
You could explore:
- Rock-glacier movement in Colorado
- Genetic diversity in Missouri pine trees
- Spiritual questions in the Harry Potter series
- Making ice cream better for diabetics
- Cancer research at a molecular level
